Food is the source to wellness for sure, I hope more people understand the power of good nutrition foods. What you feed your body will actually show on your overall health.
As a small child I had numerous of skin and over all health problems. I was always sick, mostly ear and throat infections. I was constantly on penicillin and all it did was was killing my good gut bacterias.
My joint started to ace at the age of 15 as well as my kidneys, It was a dead end loop. During my 20th I was battling astma (disappeared when I was expecting my second child), during my 30th I was OK, some skin issues. Not until I was in my 40th and my daughter was diagnosed with gluten intolerant it finally occurred that that was what I had to.
It took a good 6 mons for me to heal, and gradually my body started to respond in a positive way. Today if I cheat and eat gluten, my body can handle it up to a certain point- then boom – all the symptoms shows up, eczema, joint pain and a sense of feeling low.
So today, I eat good, healthy food, mostly plant based, due to lack of good bacterias in my stomach, I need to take supplements. I practice intermitting fasting, I believe that our body needs the break from processing food, especially as we grow older and cell turnovers as well as metabolism slows down.
It feels good to give my body “spa time”..
